sure you will know what I'm going on about, the loo flushers that you can get now on new toilet suites that do just a quick flush but my question is, is it possible to adapt the full flush system to one of these 'quick flush' ones or would I have to buy a new toilet/cistern. maybe someone will know?

You can buy a 'new style' dual flush syphon that will fit virtualy any loo. Try your local B&Q they are also simple to install to the average DIY'er. Good for those of you with water meters as well.

thanks for your fast reply. It looks like we will be paying B&Q a visit very soon. cheers!
As a cheap quick solution you could try putting a couple of bricks in the cistern so reducing the amount of water with each flush.
