goodness, which ones are those?

I remember walking some of the way up Etna, with steam belching from little fumaroles by my feet, but nothing that colourful.

This was Stromboli. Amazing, isn't it? The photos actually made me a bit emotional. It was a 6 hour trip...including the hike up there.

Tomorrow its Vulcano(Vulcana?), and Etna on Tuesday. 

oh, that's one of the islands to the north, isn't it? I've been up Etna and Vesuvius but not there.

and this is after seeing the Northern Lights?

Today they are visiting Vulcano,one of the Aeolian islands. She said it smells of sulfur and the sea is bubbling...

Yesterday they climbed Mt Etna...3,500 metres high. Very windy, cold, dangerous. And she doesn't like heights. I hot anxiety just looking at the photos. 

I'm proud of her.
