I have a wonderful old book called The World Pictorial Gazetteer.I think I bought it at a boot sale for a couple of bob.
Obviously published just after WW1 and it's wonderful.Loads of line drawings and maps and wonderful place names which have long been forgotten like Abyssinia ,Belgian Congo,Prussia,Persia,Carpathian Ruthenia and obscure villages in England. And still useful today !
