//Boris Johnson isn't an MP any more.
What am I missing here?//

Neither is David Cameron...

It's a long time since a PM sat in the HoL. I think it's generally accepted now that he/she needs to be an MP.

"wouldn't need a big effort to find him a safe seat tho'"

Between now and the next election??

"Neither was David Cameron "

Lord Cameron was appointed by the PM. Who is going to appoint Boris Johnson?

Seems I'm not missing anything

Maybe the PM..... they've been talking.  Perhaps he won't wait for the election.  You might have missed that, ich.  ;o)

If Sunak wants to go for May 2nd GE .He will need to dissolve Parliament by the 26th March.... Go for it Rishi take your MPs down with you why should you take the rap on your own.🤣

Gulliver, your posts get sillier by the day.  🙄

Question Author

Naomi 14.04  Why ! Sunaks MPs are trying to get rid of him  it will take a few weeks to do it ..He may as well go for it asap what has he got to lose with the letters of No Con increasing by the day.

"Maybe the PM..... they've been talking.  Perhaps he won't wait for the election.  You might have missed that, ich.  ;o)"

I don't think I have missed anything that is likely to happen in the real world:

Mr Sunak at the lectern outside No 10 of a Friday afternoon announcing that he is just going to hand over power to Lord Johnson of Henley, a man his own MPs had forced to resign as PM less then two years previously, for reasons that plwinly couldn't explicitly include "because frankly I have suddenly decided he should have my job" 😉

That's not how selecting a Tory leader usually works - or have people given up on "due process"?

Question Author

The pressure is on then for Rishi Sunak, as almost half the voters want a May election the latest poll reveals. Probably this could mean that the electorate after fourteen years have had enough  of this Corrupt Con Govt  and want an end to them earlier this  year sooner than later...... Bring it on

Question Author

OMG .The Tory poll ratings have slumped to the same level as Liz Truss's  final days in power. Zero

Almost half of voters want a May election. So the minority. More than half don't?

I want a May election. Get it the heck over with! 😖

Question Author

NMA @ 20.20 Almost half the voters want a May election . More than half don't ? What this means is. The half that want a May election are Labour voters ,and the more than half that don't are

The Terrified Tories

So by your answer gulliver1 more than half of voters are still going to vote Tory.

Question Author

TSM 09.32   No. The half that don't want an early election are Tory voters who are trying to Delay the inevitable pain of losing.🤣

That makes no sense whatsoever gulliver.
