Sadly, Dave Myers has lost his battle with cancer and has passed away, aged 66.

Our man from Barra, if you consider Furness-Lancashire as part of the Lakes/Cumbria - he may have, at times, looked like a Herdwick, but he knew how to cook lamb.

A huge loss - yes - and rip. Nice to see his mate's testament to him...

He was a very nice man. He used to live in the same town as me he was a makeup artist then. That was in the early 90's

I had hoped that he would have recovered, but, not to be.

R.I.P. Si now must carry on without his biker buddy.

I was uncharacteristically sad to hear this. I knew his cancer was terminal but thought he was living well with it. RIP Dave. Thank you for the very decent Tv shows.

Very sad news, I wasn't an avid fan of Hairy Bikers but seen a lot of it on Gogglebox over the years, he seemed very likeable.
