My doctor (I like him a lot) has been very flirty with me.The appointment before last he told me I was beautiful (but I had brought up the subject of cosmetic surgery). He said that I am beautiful at least three times and complimented my outfit and shoes. Prior to this appointment, he used to touch me a lot. But I am no good at flirting so I probably just acted shy every time and wouldn't talk much. This last appointment he was kind of grumpy with me. He wanted to take my blood pressure and I was pulling my sleeve up and he pulled it back down and put the cuff over my sleeve. Why would he stop flirting and change his attitude towards me like this? Is there anything I can do to get him to start flirting with me again? What should I do?

go to a different doctor. he is risking his jpb flirting with you

Maybe he has been warned about inappropriate conduct with his patients.

As he should have.

One person's 'flirting' could be another person's 'warm and friendly'...

I forgot to mention that he also told me some personal things, including that he was having some problems. I couldn't tell if he was depressed or not but he didn't seem to be himself. He used to be so touchy feely with me.

no you should keep your hands off your doctor.

He is not allowed to flirt, joke or kiss anyone has advised ( = patient, you).

agreed - he should nt be doing this

take in a recorder next time

He just wants to put you at ease, don't be a shrinking violet, play along with him and watch his blood pressure rising, then it is he that will need a real doctor.

What possible good will come of playing a squeaky musical instrument, Peter?

Female patients falling in love with their doctor is not uncommon - doctors are warned about it in their training as such a relationship is a strict no-no and will cost him his job. Curb your infatuation and/or find a different doctor.

I suspect that canary has got it.

In that case it's lucky we have access to a doctor.

Change your doctor.

When he pulled my sleeve back down he seemed a bit annoyed. He did touch the side of my boob as he was doing so (but maybe this was by accident). But he wasn't friendly or flirty at all whereas he used to flirt with me SO much before, touching me a lot (squeezing my shoulder, my knee, touching my face, staring at me, etc.). What do you think is happening to our connection?

You do not have one
