Nigel Farage wrote in X to Cleverly, 'You might be called Cleverly but you clearly are a moron. I am nearer Dover than you and the winds are gusting at 50mph'

This was Mr Farages reply when Cleverly praised our immigrant taxi force for preventing boat crossings for the first Christmas period in years. Hollow praise indeed. Even DFDS ferries were stopped or held up due to the dangerous sea state.

What Farage hasn't realised is that that was Cleverly, at his meeting with the Met Office, who arranged for the 50mph winds at the Channel over Xmas.
