The main reason was the Brexit saga. Corbyn helped, but Brexit was the thing.

i agree nicebloke... he was all over the place on covid. he declined to attend the early cobra meetings and did nothing in the pandemic's early stages when it was easiest to impede. he was also willing to lie to parliament so you can't trust anything that comes out of his mouth.

the tories in 2019 didn't have any other message than "oven ready deal" (turned out to be rubbish) and "jeremy corbyn"... i haven't checked but it would be very interesting to measure how often they spoke about corbyn compared to how often they spoke about brexit!!

His excuses when asked about his missing messages on his phone yesterday was cringeworthy, what a whole load of poppycock he gave, STILL thinking he can fool / pull the wool over our eyes. A 10 year old could have come up with a better excuse.

Nothing much changed. Not looking good gor anyone, and hasn't been for many years. No mainstream party is worthy of voting for, so either pick the least worst as usual, or try some new party.

I was answering the point that it was the "left wing press" that kept highlighting his dishonesty.

The 'red wall' constituencies voted for him because they wanted a conclusion to the brexit fiasco and he was seen as the person that could deliver it.

There's no chance they would be voting for him again at the next election any more than they will Sunak.
