Apart from doorknobs, I can't remember the last time I twiddled a knob.

Not like the old days, fiddling the vertical and horizontal knobs on the TV, searching for radio stations.

None of my electrical appliances have knobs, nor my gas fire.

There are a few knobs in my car but I don't touch them.

Has the simple knob become obsolete?

My gas cooker (which is over 30 years old) has knobs.

The dimmers on the lights in my living room and bedroom (which were both only installed this year) have knobs.

I constantly twiddle the Elevation and Windage knobs on my rifle scope but we prefer to call them Turrets. Knobs is so crude in shooting circles. 😊

My microwave and cooker have knobs, my sewing machine has knobs, no. I am still enjoying a surfeit of knobness
