Music is a big part of our St Paddy's day; including "The Wearing of the Green" and John Lennon's "If you had the Luck of the Irish". It's a day of great shame and sorrow as well as celebration and drunkenness
Don't forget the dog show ! Only the Irish could always have the Dublin international dog show on St Paddy's day; well there's not going to be any crowds, traffic or hotels full to the visitors like on other days we could choose.....are there? !
i'm as Irish as the nest person in Ireland, and i know hardly anything about it,people just use it as an excuse to drink all day, and the extremnist Protestant use it to do sectarian damage
St Patrick is the myth. The character is based on three men ,who went to Ireland .Two did reasonable work,(as much as can be called that ,when destroying a culture). The third was a very troubled lad called Patrick, who had, an unnatural affrction for sheep.
One could say that he was the first Australian.
