14 year old diesel banger sailed through its MOT again, it has never had a fail and only one advisory.

Doesn't owe me a bean, long may it keep chugging along.

Very unlikely to get nicked, too.

I'm hoping it will reach the age when it becomes MOT and car tax exempt, and that I'm still alive and driving to take advantage of it

I was pleased when my Honda Accord got through its MOT test recently without even an 'advisory'.  I was a little uncertain when I forked out £1500 at the start of the year for a car with 261K on the clock but I knew that was actually quite a good price for an absolute-top-of-the-range model and I trusted the guy who sold it to me (as he's been repairing my cars for many years and I've bought through him before).

I'm still trying to work out what all the buttons in it do though!

Buen, I trust older cars more than a new car - to a point

I wouldn't put a great deal of faith in an Allergo or Marina
