This has been going through with solicitors for ages, they keep asking, loads of the same questions it seems, and in fact we have actually now sold the car due to ULEZ.  As we don't have the car any more, are we still allowed to carry on with the claim?

Yes of course.

Are you claiming against the manufacturer as an individual or as part of a group class action case (based on no win, no fee)?

if you are doing it via one of those dodgy nwnf solicitors, youll have to pay a fee to back out anyway

Yes, makes no difference whether you still own the car or not

I never been convinced that these claims will be successful...although the solicitors will find a way of making something perhaps by selling an insurance policy to cover your costs.

Has anyone been successful yet?

It's with Milberg, they seem to have fairly good reviews, but just loads of emails, going on and on.  As an individual.

I suspect it is part of a class action, smurf.  Individual litigation would be hugely expensive.

It looks like you have joined this class action
