Condemned for not attending a game of football on the other side of the planet thereby denying whiny republicans and Trots the opportunity to criticise hime for doing what he's not doing.

A spokesman for the prince said something anodyn and his wee lassie was roped in too.

William is quoted by an un-named source as saying "I'll be king one day and I WILL have my revenge on these gobby proles, especially that Logan one. Bloody rhythmic gymnanst is it? And they call my job a waste of time."

Yes he might Corby :-))
Gromit flying the flag here

Not sure what flag but it's flapping faster than a pheasant trying to decide which way is best to avoid the oncoming car
//He might have already arranged to have a wee swally and watch the match in peace and quiet round at NJ's house...//

And he'd be most welcome - so long as he didn't expect me to put the telly on. I'd even knock up some bacon & eggs since it's Sunday morning

I think the reason he isn't going is that he probably doesn't want to travel over 20,000 miles to see a football match. I wouldn't travel 20 yards so I know how he feels. But luckily for him I believe his father has called an "urgent" summit meeting at Balmoral to discuss the Royal Family's roles and responsibilities in preparation for his reign entering its second year.

I believe that Foreign Secretary James Cleverley and Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer will attend the final on behalf of the UK government. That's more than enough but I don't mind that - so long as they pay their own fare or get the FA to pay for them.
It is hardly a surprise they got to the final. They won the Euros.

He didn't need to go though. It's a bloody long way, and James Cleverly will be there.
Why on earth is the Foreign Secretary going to the game when the S of S responsible for sport is already going?
// I'd even knock up some bacon & eggs since it's Sunday morning//

Is that before or after he stopped bowing to you.
After, of course, otherwise he won't get through the front door.
of course my mistake... thinking fourth dimensionally.
I'm just wondering when middle age starts if William is a 'young man'
Can you imagine what would be said if he got on a plane and went thousands of miles for a football game? Unnecessary, in my opinion. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
they are going to open
his local extra early and serve beer
so He can watch it with the lads
Ok. I guess it depends on whether he's damned by thoughtful folk realising his role in the FA, or fanatical virtue signallers desperate to moan at every trip anyone makes. I'd have thought there was sufficient justification to acknowledge the logic of the former, and not worry about the irrelevance of the latter.
