Good afternoon, got hold of this week’s EV and it’s no pie crust for me!
Solved a few, but am yet to completely fathom Jaques’s picture. Help
with the following would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

11a Flap having two roles, taking stage finally –not on to start with ( 6 ) ????N?
27a Reckoning for apocalyptic horsemen to be loosed from all time? ( 7 ) ?????D?
38a Bridge inside thing with ears, like pons’s location? ( 8 ) ?????M??
6 Priest and priestess held in contempt, scourge of the Bible ( 8 ) ???L????
12 “Quaint” covering number for Fibonacci ( 8. 2 words ) ?????N??
14 Abused caste enslaved by refined in repressive regime ( 11, 2 words ) ?N?????????

( Eight clues have no obvious definition and have wordplay to only part of the answer. Solvers must enter the other part, occasionally ignoring articles, which should allow them to see the PIE CRUST. Information in brackets refers to entries. Chambers Dictionary ( 2016 ) is recommended. )

Thanks, JJ109, this is perfect! I'll treasure these parsings.
looking out for a smooth and tender Spectator tomorrow!
You're welcome Matakari - Good Luck with the Spectator tomorrow.
Best wishes
Gald you enjoyed this one, Matakari. All the 'treasured' parsings are bIound to help you, I'm sure - I hate things, any things, going to waste! I don't mind a 'smooth' Spectator, but we've had too many 'tender' ones recently.
Matakari, I'm sure you were delighted to see Cheesecracker is the setter for today's puzzle - your run of Spectator finishes may be back on track!
