What then is 13a : Word expressing exultation or delight? I have "yippee"
aahing
Banzai
If 'athletics' is right, what is the pattern you have for the other answer? Which puzzle is this?
Question Author
This is Mail on Sunday 1347. For 13a I have answered "yippee" in response to clue: "Word expressing exultation or delight"
Well this gives an alternative spelling of

Yippie

(Not saying it's correct though)

Hi Wexfordwhite - I think that Athletics is correct and therefore Yippee is wrong! Yippee can also be spelt yippie, and other wordslike hurrah, hooray, banzai could be the correct answer.

What letters do you have for the answer. I resume that if Athletics is correct either the 5th or the 6th letter is an I.
I don't think Yippie has the same meaning as Yippee.
Question Author
Thank you everybody. I will go along with "yippie" but firmly believe it is incorrect
What does Yippie mean?
yip·pie ˈyi-pē : a person belonging to or identified with a politically active group of hippies.
It has a different meaning.
Was this puzzle in yesterday’s MoS?
Sorry, I was called away from the screen...

Having looked at the posts above, I confess to some confusion - wexfordwhite, is this the *Irish* Mail on Sunday? I've looked at the puzzles from Sunday & your clues aren't in there, nor does the puzzle number (1347) stand up. Which puzzle - precisely - is it: Prize, You, Lancelot, another?
