What's Causing This?

I know it's called a Leaping Sundog. This one is from Indiana and has been investigated by NASA who say it's genuine, not a hoax, CGI or anything like that. So what's causing it? Surely it's gotta be man-made global warming, hasn't it? :o)

it's a well known phenomenon, just look it up me old china.
I think the voice in the video needs to get a grip. It's a perfectly natural if slightly weird phenomenon.

I have. Nobody knows what causes it. I presume you do, TTT, me old china? I don't need to look it up anyway, TTT. You know everything don't you, so delete Google Answers. TTT knows it all!
Not sure where you got the idea that "nobody knows" what causes it: it's linked to refraction.

"... which occur when lightning discharge in a thundercloud temporarily changes the electric field above it. This adjusts the orientation of the ice crystals so that they refract the sunlight differently, making the sundogs move around as if they're jumping."

I've never seen...nor heard of this...before.
I guess I'd "need to get a grip" like the person who shot the video ;)
