^ Sorry, that should be 'weaponized'
Never heard of it. This from the internet.

//Weaponized incompetence is when an individual consciously or unconsciously demonstrates helplessness in order to avoid certain tasks or responsibilities, resulting in others stepping in and doing the task for them, //
A bit like himself being a rubbish washer upper and kitchen surface cleaner, I’d rather do it myself and know it’s been done properly.
Maybe it's really beyond their capability and others just assume it's deliberate. Perhaps they would be better suited to a different task.
My first husband suffered from it when anything practical was required.... Then again I guess you can weaponise competence too if you take it to the point where others just stop trying.

Sometimes I'm guilty of it at home but didn't know it had such a serious title!
It's an odd...aggressive?...label for something that's probably not that uncommon.
The latest threat to mankind is supposedly Artificial Intelligence. I beg to differ. Artificial Stupidity is just as dangerous. It didn't matter so much when we could call it out for what it is, whether laziness, indolence, or cant. Now we mustn't hurt the feelings of the feckless and wilfully dim so we must give the phenomenon a new and exciting handle to get under the radar of the permanently offended.
'A Man has got to know his limitations' as Dirty Harry tell us.
people coming into work and then wont work?
er
that has been around for a long time. Downside is they realised they are expendable.

problem is - in an emergency, things can become icky

and so.... in the Uvalde shootings, the failure of the supervisor Arredondo to send in the marines ( too dangerous) - cd be an example. Downside: he is no longer schools supervisor

2005 - the rescuemen who camped on the platform and wdnt go down the tunnels ( the lines may still be live) cd be cast as weaponised incompetence.

but once you have weaponised your natural incompetence, what happens then? - it is just a label
2017 - Arena - oh just dont say....
police and firemen showing spectacular weaponised competence.

Far too slow to say there is NOT a marauding gunman so they dont need a red zone.
