Have only heard of this today, it's being discussed on Ireland AM (Virgin Media 1) now. Have you heard of it?

Artificial Stupidity is just as dangerous. It didn't matter so much when we could call it out for what it is, whether laziness, indolence, or cant. Now we mustn't hurt the feelings of the feckless and wilfully dim so we must give the phenomenon a new and exciting handle to get under the radar of the permanently offended.

that has been around for a long time. Downside is they realised they are expendable.
problem is - in an emergency, things can become icky
and so.... in the Uvalde shootings, the failure of the supervisor Arredondo to send in the marines ( too dangerous) - cd be an example. Downside: he is no longer schools supervisor
2005 - the rescuemen who camped on the platform and wdnt go down the tunnels ( the lines may still be live) cd be cast as weaponised incompetence.
but once you have weaponised your natural incompetence, what happens then? - it is just a label
