I've just received my renewal quote fron Direct Line and it's gone up by £150 to £595 so I checked DL on line as it's normally cheaper - £957!!!!
Other than that AXA was the cheapest at £523. I've not made any claims at all.
Any bright ideas please?

PS: My car's in a fairly high insurance group (23). I've got fully comprehensive cover, including business use. Excluding the RAC cover (which is included with my policy), key cover (ditto) and credit charge for paying monthly, my annual premium is £430.44 (including a £40 intermediary services fee).

Once again thanks, this is whaT AB does best
I think I'm quite lucky with my fully comp including legal expenses (it was very useful when I was involved in a fatal smash which took just six years to settle) at just under £200
Just posting for info. LV = Liverpool & Victoria

Wondering if there's a difference depending on where you live. Just checked my own cover and it cost me £189 for this year. No doubt it will go up in August at renewal. I'm with the AA.

Tesco quote was £657.
OH 'talked to DL' on line and they came back with a quote for £490 so over £100 cheaper!

Mine could be age related maggie:-(
I think my insurance is due soon. I think I only paid just over £200 last year.
I've used NFU who have been very competitive - I am dreading this year as their comm property insurance has shot up and only countered by lowering the re-build costs that were, in retrospect, over-flated. All I can suggest is increase the excessive and see how much the premium comes down by.
Maggie it does matter where you live. If anyone lives in a rough area where your car is likely to be stolen or damaged then of course the cost does goes up.

I'm a LV fan as well.
