A couple of days ago I was typing a reply to a question on AB. (I learned touch-typing in 1968 on an ancient Imperial typewriter, so occasionally am rather heavy-handed.) Anyway, the page want sort of swimmy and the front started growing before my eyes. Very difficult for me to manage now. Simple question - how to I get the font size down to a sensible 12 or 14. try control and minus
this does screen size
jourdain; Are you using a PC with separate keyboard, or a laptop, or one of these smartphone/tablet things?
Try PP's tip and if it doesn't help, then wait for someone cleverer than both of us.

How did you type this post?
ctrl+mouse wheel to change font size.
TTTs’ method is the way I do it.

I've just tried Control and minus - it just shrank the screen size, lettering remains huge.
I'm using a Toshiba laptop.
TTT - I don't have a mouse, everyone told me it was better to learn to get along with the control pad thingy.
Atheist - with some difficulty! :)
personally I use cordless mouse can't get on with the pad. There should be an equivalent function on the mouse pad depending on your machine. Use CTRL+ that.
Press the windows key and the letter u at the same time - this should allow you to change the font.
Just used it to make my font 10% bigger to make mine more readable.
Click the Ctrl key and, while you're holding it down, click the 0 (zero) key.

Ellipsis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're wonderful! Just done it and it has worked Thank you so very much. I was getting an eyestrain headache with just the bits I was typing.
To everyone, thank you so much for your help, concern and suggestions - but Ellipsis has to have BA.
Hooray! Glad it helped.
yes well done, I didn't know about the CTRL+0 thing, good to know.
It's all connected.

Ctrl^+ makes the font bigger.
Ctrl^- makes the font smaller.
Ctrl^0 sets it at the default.

Holding ctrl while using a trackpad or thumbwheel are alternative ways of making the font bigger (+) or smaller (-).
you can change your default text size too, if you want it bigger or (less likely) smaller.
