Samsung Won’t Go To Google Photos

Just to a new Samsung A23 5G. If I take a photo it goes straight to Google Photos but any WhatsApp photos won’t transfer. Help please. Also how do I get rid of the annoying weather app that keeps popping up, it’s a white cloud on a blue background, not in my Apps. Thanks all :). I am not technical at all, as you may well know ….

I think the app is just called Weather.
If you can't delete it, you should be able to disable or just remove permission for notifications.

Not sure but I think whatsapp photos received are stored as files?

On my Samsung A13 if I go into Google Photos and click Library (bottom right) I can see the WhatsApp pictures.

Thanks Hopkirk, Library>Backup. Worked!!

under "library" you should have all your albums and above them "photos on device" that should have the whatsapp ones as a section.

Well, it worked on the Samsung, but just noticed I have the same problem on my Apple ipad, not downloading photos from WhatsApp. Will they come across from my phone? There is no back up link in Library, it seems like a different set up…
