I'd like to watch the program but it's only available on pay TV downunder and I'm not paying for a subscription just to watch one show.

My parents were 10 quid tourists, mum struggled for quite a few years acclimatising to both the weather and being away from her family.

Dad was happy making a new life.

I was very young at the time, christened aboard the ship on the way here.
Church Of The High Seas?

I suspect the early days were quite challenging for my parents but I'm happy to be here.

Australia is the only country I know and I have no desire to reconnect with my roots.

I'm happy here.
Ozzy/ The programme is on YouTube if you have that in Oz.
Thanks for the heads up.

YouTube it is, we are reasonably modern down here;-)

But, I haven't watched the show yet.
Some neighbours across the street, were about to start a new life there, but changed their minds when they realised how far the the nearest hospital was away.
I shall watch with interest.

I've yet to have that happen, what a sheltered life I've had.
^Chip^,
In answer to your question Maydup I started to watch it and gave up after the first episode. I just found it too dark and depressing. It WAS probably true to life but enjoyable entertainment it wasn't.
My Aussie cousin has tried to watch the episode on Youtube, but, despite cheating (saying he was in London ! ) he could not access it.
I loved it and watched it back to back on the iplayer
