I always take my trolley back to the collection point and most shoppers are responsible, but their are a few who cannot be bothered to tidy up after they have used theirs. Some are left in the car park and yesterday at Tescos i saw a trolley on the roadside a quarter mile from the store. Any comments?.

There’s always one William. Probably related to those who camped out in the Mall to see the Coronation Procession and abandoned their tents and rubbish for someone else to clear up. Or the people who fly tip in the countryside. Or the people who poop scoop and leave the bag hanging in a tree!

I have to put £1 in to release a trolley at Morrisons so I always return it to get the coin back. Having said that, I would still return it even if money wasn’t involved. I think this generally solves the problem of abandoned trolleys.
It's a throw away world .
I mean after all they only cost £1 and hold a lot more than a 25p carrier bag

Am I Right ?
I'm Not Wrong !
On line Shopping mate. Saves all that fluffing about and having to tolerate other folks mishaps
I'm fascinated by those people who will walk half way across the car park to the trolley shelter and then not bother to park their trolley properly.
The wheels lock on the trolleys at our Tesco if you try to take them out of the car park. I have seen some just left in the car park then start moving and hitting cars as some can't be bothered to put them away properly.
At my local Tesco, 'trolley gatherers' are employed, so if everyone returned their trolleys to the rightful place, at least a couple of people would be on the 'rock 'n' roll'.
Most folk who use taxis (myself included) leave the trolleys by the pick up point. Which is very helpful to those tasked with 'rounding' them up:-)
Our Morrisons has trolley gatherers and no money in the slot for years now. So very few abandoned.
I used to put my trolly in the designated booth but still see some escapee on the way home

I hear Mr Zelensky has it on his list of questions for Mr Sunak.

Sorted.
