This week on our click and collect we saved just over £50 due to the nectar offers, and £15 off voucher for spending over £150.
Some of what we bought we didn’t need this week (four jars of Nescafé for instance) but know we’ll use.
There are savings to be made in various supermarkets I’m sure but I was well chuffed.

Well done , it gives you a feel good feeling, why not.
I was in a similar position with Sainsbury’s a couple of weeks ago the cheese, butter, dog food and almond milk I buy was on silly special offers so I bought up loads extra it’s a savings in the long wrong

It’s not just the good feeling, gully, although that’s always worth it, in these days any and all savings are worth it :)
That’s great Helen, and if you use the products anyway then why not stock up, good for you!
Well it was my favourite cheese Red Leicester and the only food that Colin eats so I always like to keep a stock in for worst case scenarios
Question Author
I saw the Red Leicester on offer but didn’t buy it, I always look out for davidstow or Sainsbury’s Cornish cruncher and stock up on that in offer.
I saved a fortune on gin, and tonic, this week…all the essentials ;)
Portugal We have just had about 600 grocery items put on sale with 0% Tax
Yes, good feeling. I do similar but have never saved that much. The washing gel I use is on offer at the moment so I have a stock. I hope I live long enough to use it all!
I always stock up when the thing I buy are on a good offer. Cheese and butter freeze well.
Always buy dishwasher tablets and things like that when they are half price.

Trouble is you need money to be able to take advantage of these offers, those with a tight budget can't do it
I think some of you are being fooled, and supermarkets have become experts in thos field. Its one of the oldest tricks in the book to inflate prices for a few weeks, and then reduce the product back down to the normal price. Sainsburys especially have been inflating their prices way above others to cover the new discount app, they've been doing it for months now. The only genuine offer I see on here is Calmcks post @ 20.39
Well I think I have been shopping for enough years to tell the difference in prices.
But thanks for your advice.
Getting older should result in getting wiser, however there are times when you have convinced yourself you've had a bargain, its becomes difficult to accept reality.
If you can buy a standard item at 50% off, it's reasonable to assume that the price of that item has not doubled over the past year. Yes there have been increases, but you don't need to assume those of us who regularly shop are bring taken for a ride by what you seem to think are phoney discounts. Most of us are pretty savvy regarding prices.
being...not bring
I agree pasta, my cheese is currently 4.59 a block it was 1.50 cheaper with the offer I had.
I know what things cost 12 months ago, I know when the price has shot up and I know a good deal when I see one.
All my receipts over the last few years are on my hard drive.

My butcher's prices fluctuate throughout the year due to normal seasonal availability, especially with lamb. I stock up at the right time.

That’s great calmck!
Roo, I’ve never saved so much either, the gin, tonic and coffee I buy regularly so I was very pleased to see it on such a reduction. And the email with the £15 off voucher was a bonus.
Pasta, yep, I agree entirely :)

Indeed Barry, although the only thing I buy from our local butcher are his award winning sausages, I never eat any others.
