Ed Is it allowed for an AB member to hack into another members account to find out personal and private information and then post on Ab divulging and bragging about it...... Is this breaking Site rules ?

I've resisted getting involved in this drivel, but I'm interested in what you think anybody who has hacked into your AB account is going to do with their prize. Do you keep any money in here?
NJ, there will be many folk who have their real names and dates of birth in addition to their e-mail addresses and 'phone numbers in their profiles.

Would you be happy to reveal those details publicly?
apart from an email address there is no requirement to have any of those things on an AB profile and folk would be well advised not to!
//Would you be happy to reveal those details publicly?//

Not particularly. But then I never provide my genuine details when subscribing to any site like this. It always intrigues me when I see the "happy birthday to..." posts. Quite why anybody would provide their genuine DOB when it might end up publicly disclosed is a mystery.
Gulliver isn't my favourite person at times but I can't see why he's taking all the flak and being accused of attention seeking when TTT was very much in the wrong for what he posted.

10 56 NJ "I've resisted getting involved in this drivel" .............Now you are talking drivel......
gness, TTT shouldn't have said that he hacked gully's AB profile, that is clearly wrong but I believe him when he said it was a joke.
A poor joke not in the least funny and he should apologise.

11.56 It was no joke. I can assure you.
Are we all assuming ttt is a computer genius ? Who told us this , ? Him ?
Had this post been from any other aber apart from Gulliver would it have been taken more seriously ?
gully, but you still haven't made it clear how you know he looked at your profile.
Tell me so I can check if anyone's been looking at mine.
anne, I take gully's claim seriously but I see no reason to disbelieve ABEd and gully hasn't explained how he is knows it happened.
Barry, do you believe/know ttt is a computer genius . ?
92 posts and we still don't know how it was done. Answer the question please Gulliver
I have no idea what he is, anne, but as I keep repeating, I have no idea how gully knows his profile was hacked. I have looked at my profile, I have even examined the HTML of my profile and there is nothing to indicate when it was accessed, no dates or other indication.
As I recall, TORATORATORA has stated he works in or is involved with, the computer department in a bank or finance-related business.

12.33 The joker in question who most people Want to believe preferably. Has quite often boasted about his special computer skills in the past.
gully, I don't often read TTTs posts
"It was no joke. I can assure you."

Gulliver1, if you can assure me then I'll look into this further. As far as I'm aware, it was just an inappropriate joke.

If you have any evidence besides the comment made which caused this suspicion, please send it my way and I will be more than happy to investigate further.

However, at present, it's a wild accusation. I'm only letting the accusation stand because the other member you refer to brought this on themselves with their silly 'joke'.

Please, this doesn't need further discussion.

Gulliver1, email me if you need to.
As I have said previously, I doubt the account has been hacked but given TORATORATORA's employment, it added credence to the possibility the claim was truthful and likely prompted a genuine concern.
