All these years later it still bugs me what Scargill did, or should I say didn't do. Hateful man.
you think all doctors are idiots? Don't get sick!
As I have mentioned, The Good Dr Laurenson does not seem to have done too much doctoring thus far. He is 28 years old and is currently a “Trainee GP” at a practice in Kent. Quite how much practice he has undertaken is unclear. In between holidays he seems to have put in an awful lot of time on the telly recently, explaining why “Junior” doctors need a 35% pay rise. What is also unclear is how BMA members have allowed him to be elevated to the position of co-chairman of their Junior Doctors’ Committee. But that, of course is their business.

On his 18th birthday, Dr Laurenson was appointed a director of his parents’ investment company. It is said he takes no salary or dividends from that post. Also unclear is why a company with just £2m in assets, only one person (his father) “with significant control” and no staff requires five directors (him, his parents and two brothers). But similarly that is their business.

//A union spokesperson said he was "fulfilling a long-standing commitment to attend the wedding of a family friend", adding: "We aren't going to disclose further personal information.//

They don’t need to. Here’s Dr Laurenson’s Linkedin profile:

And here’s the Companies House record of the company of which he is a director:

Who said doctors are idiots? Apart from you?

To be fair to this fella from what I understand its a wedding he is going to, was probably arranged many months ago so its not quite the same a just waltzing off on his hols.
Duped into striking?
You ought to see a doctor for your delusions ;-)
It would appear the company only had two directors and shareholders up until 2013 when the Company also changed its name.

The shareholders still remain the original two so yes its odd.
Well brother Gromit not all of us are hard line left like your good self. Many consider striking to be pointless.
Nice research, NJ. Sounds like Pa pa has some sort of Shell company going there.
god- dont be famous.
so you play Bridge in your free time that doctors never have?
this is classic loser on loser play innit

Instead of losing a trick wiv yr 2spades
and anuvva trick with the loser 4Hearts

do it ( "play the cards that is") so that you play a trick with the 2S and 4 H in the same trick

He aint working, so just as well go on hollies
no his training looks OK
GP training is around 4-5 y,
and I think he qualified 2019
and he took a year off ( actually it looks like early burn out)

I took a year off 1978 - Egypt/sudan archeology
Twp years off ( Porton Down) between school and university, oh and a year off ( Law, Cambridge) then some Radiotherapy - as a doctor not a patient, that came later. Oh and some obs.
So by comparison he has been abstemious

and Sqad, he's taken a few years off - down the Prive
haw haw haw

Dr Lol and his lot
put up candidates ( entryism) for election ( instead of starting a break away as in 1975) and took 59 out of the 60 seats on offer

as TTT wd say, that is democracy working !
he is attending a wedding which must have been arranged ages ago...

if he had missed it to join the strikers you would call him a fanatic
