Sqad, My Daughter is trying to get an appointment with gp. asap, to get this little gristley lump checked out. I told her it's probably nothing, I hope I'm right. I wonder what it could be? Such a worry.

A benign phyllodes tumour?
Question Author
Could be, scorpiojo. Or maybe some fiberous tissue. I hope it's nothing sinister.
Thanks for your reply x
Keeping everything crossed for your daughter ( and you ) Patsy
a cyst.....most are benign....but get it checked out.
or a concentration of tissue which is what my ex had....totally benign.
How big is it, how long has she had it, is it separate from the skin Can you move the skin over it)?
Could be a fibroadenoma but nobody here can guess what it is. She needs to tell the receptionist that she has found a lump in her breast. I can't imagine many GP surgeries would procrastinate over something like that.

Hi sqad, she said it's on the right under the muscle. I'm in touch with her most days, and she told me about an hour ago, so recently found.
She said she will likely go private, to make sure it's checked ASAP.
Thanks for all your good wished and replies.
No idea Patsy from your description, but it is an excellent idea of your daughter to go privately.
Statistically it is probably benign, but I can imagine that you do not see your daughter as a "statistic"....;-)

Thanks sqad. I'm a terrible worrier. My children are my world.
I'll keep you posted :-)
My cousin found a lump which worried her to death as there is breast cancer in our family. She went straight to BUPA and had tests and results within a week although the NHS are quite good at that sort of thing (IMO) Problem with the NHS is that their admin is terrible and they keep you hanging on for ages. Good idea to go private.
