a laugh until they come out with the 'F'

So now you know, lottie. Extraordinary.
Naomi, It's a bit like being back in school!! It's not a discussion - its being told.
AH, my point is that the out, proud, loud campest of gay celebs are not like that because they had to hide the fact they are gay nor fight for acceptance
MissT - If you have an issue with either the content or the tone of my response to your point, why not address it to me, and we can discuss it.

Instead of increasing the 'school' scenario by gossiping on the back row with your fellow First Former.
Barry, if you think that gay people stopped having to hide their sexuality, or ceased being on the receiving end of prejudice the day the Act was passed, you live in a different world to me.
Aye, it's your own time you're wasting.
AH, I guess you’re talking about me - but a first former? Blimmin cheek! How very dare you?!! I’ll have you know I’ve got stifficates!
Andy, you don't discuss. You lecture with an authoritive tone. It puts backs up. And Naomi and I obviously got the same impression. Not gossip at all. But rudeness from you.

I'm not wasting time on this any more.
Andy, you baffle me, you really do.

You write ‘I'm not sure why you think I have any interest in guessing her views’ after you’ve written ‘Then you also appear to believe that 'showbusiness' is some sort of hermetically sealed bubble where only gay and gay-friendly people live….’
Which is exactly that…..guessing her views!
MissT - If my response came across as 'lecturing', that was clearly not my intention, and if that was how it was received, please accept my apologies.
It doesn't put my back up, lottie. I find it quite entertaining. :o)
Apologies accepted. I don't bear grudges.
Thank you xx.
Awwww. Lovely.
Off topic somewhat, I will say that I never had any prejudice against gay people. We have friends and family who are gay. I was brought up in a family that had no prejudice and worked in places where there were all sorts of races, colours and sexualities. However I think the disproportionate amount of outspoken and in your face gays in entertainment and media now does them no favours. Quite the reverse, in my opinion. And that goes for colour as well.

See what you did there. Loving your work.
MissT - I think an inevitable byproduct of the reasonable approach by gay people, that they have nothing to be ashamed of, does swing the pendulum too far the other way, and their stance appears aggressive and superior. And sadly, by definition, those attention seekers attract the most (negative) attention.

Hopefully, as I said earlier, society will continue to develop its welcome attitude of tolerance.

That's assuming it's not derailed by the nasty attention-seeking nonsense of the 'gender fluid' nonsense brigade!
Agree Andy.
