Does anyone have a foolproof and fairly quick method of getting rid of the above?
I’ve tried just about all over the counter stuff in the last few years, which help for a while but never gets rid of it completely.
I only have a small area of it behind my little toe and the one next to it but it itches a great deal.
Was wondering about iodine? Or tea tree oil??

I found Lamisil Once effective. But remember to follow the directions exactly ie do not wash your feet for at least 24 hours after you apply it . Good luck.

Indeed sqad.
Other half had a bit of bone shaved from his heel a number of years ago and during the pre op chat with the surgeon, he told OH that his athletes foot would be cured once and for all due to having the op. We laughed about it at the time but it was true, and I was wondering if that orange stuff they paint on pre op had something to do with it, and if so, I wondered firstly what the stuff is, and secondly where can I get some. Seemed like a quick easy fix.
Chlorhexadine skin prep.........nothing to do with Athlete's Foot.
I still want to see Vagus spreading garlic on her foot
Please ask permission of the athlete before applying unguents and powders.

Sorry, only just got back to this.
Oh well, sqad, that’s my theory out of the window.
The only thing I allow to touch my feet is the dogs tongue, Helen, he loves licking them!
Jess loves to do that but only my feet not his
My Dia's GS also did the same but only Dia's or my feet not my nana's
I once had a cat that liked licking my ears and chewing on my hair. I think I'll take that over foot licking.

It’s my guilty pleasure, I encourage him :)

Have you tried regularly swabbing the areas with surgical spirit on a cotton bud or failing that meths. Works well for me
I notice that Redhelen suggested a salt bath. That might mimic my foolproof method of paddling in the sea.

Perhaps a salty footbath might be worth trying.

Ladyalex, that’s exactly the sort of thing I was hoping someone would be able to recommend, thank you so much. I’m off to Boots sometime this week, will buy some and give it a go. Reading the reviews it seems the vast majority of people really rate it.
If it doesn’t work then I’ll give some of the other suggestions a go. Many thanks everyone.

Called in to local pharmacy first and they had very little athletes foot stuff of any description, said they couldn’t get hold of it.
Went to Boots and they had loads of every kind of treatment for it, including Lamisil Once! Hoorah!!
I’ll give it a go this week and see what happens. Thanks again, ladyalex :)
Vagus - I gave you a recommendation last Wednesday based on personal experience and provided a link, but you've chosen to wait till Sunday when someone suggests Lamisil Once, and you decide to try that. Something amiss with what I recommended?
Question Author
No good goalie, nothing amiss at all and I’m grateful for all responses. I had already tried what you recommended and it didn’t work effectively so wasn’t really prepared to buy it again.
I’ve only just managed to get to the shops today, that’s why I decided to give ladyalexs suggestion a go.
I did thank everyone for their suggestions.
The best Labour PM was Harold Wilson who enacted social reforms in education, health, housing, gender equality, price controls, pensions, provisions for disabled, the Open University, Concorde, etc.

The best Tory PM was Margaret Thatcher.

Why everyone picks Churchill I don't know, he was a great leader in WW2, but I can't think of much else he achieved.
Hope it works for you.

Remember the no feet washing, though!
