I really need some inspiration. I want to cook something nice for dinner but don't want to spend all night in the kitchen (an hour, tops!). I can get ingredients on the way home as it's too late to take anything out of the freezer when I get back.

So what's amusing your bouche later?

I'm sure it soon will be mm, but thanks for the sympathy.
nothing worse than toothache !!
What makes HIS selection of our dinner SO much worse is that just lately he has been saying "I don't fancy curry". He knows I think Tescos' curries are an abomination. I'm convinced he did it on purpose!!! :) Still, no cooking for me tonight.

lol Barmaid.. anything anyone else cooks for me is welcome !
Tell me about it, Murray.

I've broken 2 teeth one side. I am plucking up the courage to see the dentist. I am not sure whether it is the physical pain or the financial pain that will upset me the most.
Yummy Tilly, bubble and squeak with a generous grating of strong cheddar
Nothing to choose between it Barmaid, both awful.

Bubble and squeak, the food of the Gods. B&S is lovely when you make cakes out of it and breadcrumb them, a bit like a fishcake.
151, you have my sympathy.
Sorry, 158!!
I might try that Lady CG.

It's really nice, Tilly, with a poached egg on top. Makes a really nice starter or just a light meal when you don't want too much.
Not decided yet - my stock-up-for-Brexit tins are getting a bit long in the tooth so I may make more inroads tonight.
