They are asking for £1. I'm sure I haven't asked for this and although it's only for a small amout, I'm concerned that it's spam. Any advice appreciated. Thankyou.

Sorry, I thought I had answered this. Thank you for your help. I went on line to try to sort it out but ended up being advised to contact my bank. They have put a stop on it and also cancelled my card. A bit inconvenient but I don’t mind. Superb service from my bank. Straight through, no waiting, fluent English speaking people. Brilliant. Lloyd’s by the way.
Quite often when your card has been compromised, the culprits use your details for very small amounts to see if the card is active. It they go though, then they use the card again for larger amounts. When it happened to me, it was a $1 here and there on medical supply companies in the US.

It’s quite scary isn’t it.
I have no idea how mine came to be compromised. The scammers (after checking the card was active with small amounts) used it to buy PAYG mobile phone credits. Thank goodness for online banking where you can keep an eye on your transactions.
yeah I found this

too

does NOT look good - quick cancel

cd have arisen thro contacting a clairvoyant - but surely you would have been told - ter daaah !
I think there must be moles in some online traders who leak data to a fraudster (must be a lucrative little number), my bank credit card has been compromised (and therefore cancelled by me) on two occasions in the last couple of months. How else can they get my authorisation code - I never take it out of the house. Awaiting a new card is a right pain, then updating online regular traders is another pain. When a fraudulent amount is taken why don't the banks trace and prosecute ?
It seems to me fraud is too easy. TLA hasn't made any difference it appears.
Is that TFA two factor auth
TLA - which three letter acronym is that one?
I think it is OK for usto change passwords regularly

my present one - no not my mothers date of birth - has a prime factor of 19 - and is NOT a perfect square, which keeps me busy
( I have to factorise it to get it right - like if it is even it has to be wrong)
