The proper way, in a pan of water, not using cups, bags, poacher pans or any other gadget?
It seems many people can't and Jamie Oliver says he couldn't poach an egg until he read Deliah's method

I love poached eggs and can't understand why some people find it difficult

I will try it, Helen.
No, I can't poach an egg and I've given up trying.
I'm sure those who have said your eggs need to be fresh are right as buying from the supermarket well, you don't know how old they are.
I've tried different ways but they just seem to disintegrate in the pan.
I make very good gravy though. :-)
Red @ 12:44...I tried that when I had a dog...cats too. They wouldn't touch it.
Delias way.
Hope this works...

Oh!...odd
Really pasta? My 2 love it when they get eggs
Well, I always get the weird animals :)

Barsel //I make very good gravy though.//

Gravy on toast doesn't really cut it with me, though.
Here, the video Barsel, pastafreak and johnny.5 tried to post.

Ooh bread dipped in gravy yummy
Lol Barry mentioned @ 10.08 that he can poach an egg but can't make gravy.
I'm going to see what these poaching pods are and try those.
