// blimey you proddies didnt like him at all //

Do be reminded, the 37th of the 39 Articles enshrined into the Church of England's book of common prayer, states that the Pope has no jurisdiction in England.

So it would be my guess, any grievances held by the 'proddies' here, have nothing to do with Ratzinger's religion. Moreover, his moral fibre.

I dislike this guy because of what he was and not what he did for a living.

I am not religious, I am cynical about most organised religions.

As far as I can judge by what I have read and heard he was quite an evil man so good riddance.
the catholic church is a giant machine for raping and abusing vulnerable people… it funds hospitals and schools on a huge scale for essentially the same purpose that jimmy savile built stoke mandeville…

Benedict xvi was an enthusiastic part of that machine and i have no time at all for those like jeremy hunt who praise his “spirituality”… he excommunicated a 9 year old girl along with her family because they secured an emergency abortion for her after she was impregnated with twins… the stepfather who raped her was not as far as i know excommunicated…

https://content.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1911495,00.html

he died in wealth comfort and privilege at a ripe old age… he could have used all that money and all that time to do anything else at all..

rest in pee mister ratzinger!!!
He can do it in spirit only. He is head of the Church of England.
^That to zebu.
CIIIR - see above

he announced if he were to be proclaimed sovereign, it would be better as supreme [chip frier]

He had to sign in as Sovereign, and he said at the time," I am signing this document altho there are bits.... "

and I reckon - - he was told beforehand it was not something Elizabeth cd or wanted to do, so it wd have to be as him as King

and when that time came they said: no time, sign now - you cant start Kinging ( Edw VIII unfortunate phrase) until you have signed th eold one

and changing it now seems a bit of a non starter
"the same purpose that jimmy savile built stoke mandeville"

I'm no fan of Savile, but Stoke Mandeville Hospital opened in 1944, when he was 18.
Delighted to read today that many Irish priests are finding it hard or refusing to mourn Benedict.
Hope they let Rome know why....not that it will make a difference.

Had to smile when I read that Benedict's last words were...Lord, I love you.... After what he said about and did to other men who said that to each other. :-)
Many pagans believe that after death you are guided in a review of your life.... That will be fun.
stoke M
fella called Guttmann founded it ( refounded it, used to a fever hospital) who was a German jewish refugee doctor,
and then developed it and enlarged it for the next thirty years

First asst to a famous German neurosurgeon ( bright boy and likely to succeed to the Great Mans shoes) and was kicked out at short notice 1935 ish BUT managed to make it to London
god the Irish dont mind bearing a grudge

It is obvious to the world, that the Pope did not found the Magdalene Laundries nor dig the graveyards of the forgotten and abused founlings ....

the irish did.

The pope / popes were not first port of call for abuse of young children in irish institutions - the local irish catholic hierarchy were. - or the Gardai
they did their bit in ignoring what was going on
