I am assuming that Emmie is still laid up after her op, so I hope she doesn’t mind.

It’s Tuesday the temperature is plummeting, not a lot on my dance card today other than checking on my Christmas tatties and a wee bit of garlic weeding.

Perching on a stool or even leaning against it must be easier than trying to carry hot drinks and plates of food.

maybe, but could just about get it done, going from kitchen to dining room, but might see if i can eat in the kitchen, washing up, doing anything is slow to slooooow.

You're going to be slow - that stands to reason - but what's the rush? Go with the flow - even if it is slow. It won't be for long.

Eating in the kitchen sounds like a good plan EM, at least until you're getting about better

i need to be up and around, to get food and drink for one thing, and take meds, but yes will try and eat in the kitchen.

Are people from Occupational Health in touch with you, Emmie? Normally, they are very good at assessing what aids they can provide to make life easier for you. Hope the pain lessens soon.x

no one from OT, i had a phone call from the hospital OT before went into hospital but no one else. who would i call.?

its not just the pain, its put enormous strain on the other joints even with crutches and you can't always use them.

Could you call your local Social Work Department or, if not, can you give the hospital OT a call? Physios, too, are good at arranging aids.
It seems you have little after-care provided and this should not be - of course, things may be different in your area than up here in Scotland

I know when my MIL was released after her op there was no aftercare provide Hazlinny, she was taught how to walk on crutches and her loo was upstairs
