Any views please on whether its worth having an air fryer for just one person? Also if any one has done this, which one did they buy? Thanks

There are air fryers with s capacity suitable for one person

Can't recommend one
Apparently they re flying off the shelves at Aldi .

There was a piece on the item on Steph's Pack Lunch today - Chanel 4 - if you have catch up TV
If you put 'air fryers' in the search box on this page, several recent threads will come up.
I'm a single person but I intend to get one that's large enough to do a whole chicken.
i'm just cooking a whole chicken in my Cosori air fryer it smells lovely x
One person.........ideal.
Plenty of choices for a small Airfryer on the internet.
Mally...is that the large Corsori?
Pasta it's 5.5 litre think me mally paid about £140ish (i got the red one which cost a little more )
i have a fan oven so i dont see why i would get an airfryer isnt it just a small tabletop fan oven
this is what they are on about Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation
Had one for a while but it's more of an ornament! Love my slow cooker though.

Thanks for your comments evryone. Will look into further.
Hazlinny i have a slow cooker but just don't know what to cook besides mince and stew (not a great cook )x
Mally/ I put in chicken, gammon, pork - in fact almost anything!
Yesterday I noticed recipes for making Christmas Cake in slow cooker - might give it a try!
Roadman, it is a small countertop fan oven with advantages. Living on my own I had a single air fryer. Dave brought one when he moved in and we used two.
We now have a Ninja with two smaller compartments and use it all the time for almost everything we cook. I haven't yet done what some do and "throw an egg in for ten minutes" though. :-)
The Ninja would be ideal for one person and save on fuel costs.

Can a combination microwave oven do what a air fryer does?
Perhaps the question should be the other way round.

Something also to be wary off is how many articles show the power saving. Conventional ovens do not run at 3KW continually - they have thermostats and some are pretty well insulated these days.

These mini ovens also have thermostats but generally are not insulated although are on for a much shorter period of time.

A combination microwave oven can also vary.
I cook for one with a Ninja AF100 UK S5

It's wonderful IMHO, certainly nothing like my old fan oven.
