£100 for me this month
Well done Tora Man. Something back from the govt.
I'm asking, and feel cheeky, so feel free to not respond if this is impertinent.

How much do people have to invest to get decent winnings over the year? I know it's all chance and nothing guaranteed, but I was thinking of putting 15K into bonds with my son putting 15K (one account) and we'll halve any winnings. Will 30K give an increased chance of a few wins?
Martin Lewis' website, MoneySavingExpert, has a calculator to work out the expected return on premium bonds.

Thank you both, That's interesting. If I have average luck, that's not a bad return seeing as our ISAs are delivering diddly squat.
Just looked at my winnings for the year. Works out at about 1.45% which is net of course. Not that brilliant but there is always the chance of winning a large prize.
I read somewhere that they've just increased the interest rate to 2.2%. Since the interest is shared between bond holders it follows that your chance of winning is directly proportional to the number of bonds you hold.
I'm just hoping that energy and food prices don't increase any further. Investment returns are not of any concern to me.
I still get mine by royal mail so I won't know if I've won until the middle of the month.
We get ours through the NSI app immediately, Dusty. Dave and I sit with a nightcap at midnight waiting for the results. The one who wins gets the nightcap. :-)
Me too £100 this time so happy
What's midnight! ;-)
Midnight, Dusty is the middle of our day. Love the night except when Arky flies by the window.
All this makes me realise that I am, as I thought, unlucky. Ok, I don't have many Bonds (about £250) but in 55 years I have never won anything! Fortunately, gambling is not one of my sins!
dustypuss, you can check online if you've had a win, by entering your holders number.
