This is only the opinion of Mrs sqad after the jury has returned.
She appreciates that other ABers may have differing opinions and to these she respects.

Vegetables: Fine, no problems if one is going to add them to a casserole or as a prelude to sauces e.g home made tomato sauce .

Fish: not impressed...appearance is poor and taste OK but not great.

Meat:...No! No!...appearance poor and a suspicion that it is not cooked evenly. Taste: acceptable...........

Cakes and Yorkshire puudings, a big NO.

Verdict: If you can afford to cook by oven and hob, then do so as the Airfryer has nothing to add. If you can't afford to cook in this way, then an Airfryer is an adequate substitute.

She would not buy one again.

When I cook dishes such as Bolognese, stews, curries I cook at least 4lb meat at a time in the slow cooker and freeze what isn't eaten. Brings out all the flavours, tenderises the meat and costs next to nothing to cook.
I experiment with mine, and some dishes are perfect.

For example I "boil" eggs without water - this does need some experimentation to get the right consistency for your taste, and I did have one that split.

But overall very pleased with it.
Yes Barry, slow cooking is something else. I too cook batch and freeze for later.
I used to batch cook stews, casseroles, pies etc., for little Tigs when he was younger but now he doesn't like any of that. All he wants is pasta, pizza and curry.
Baked potatoes in 15 minutes? Really?

Were they very small, or precooked in the microwave?
