and even if there were, surely the vast majority of voters would still vote for their preferred constituency MP and not for the 'other party' just because of the chaos in Westminster. I would not change allegiance to the party I support - and I doubt many others would either. Its like asking people to swap their allegiance to a football club!

I know my MP, met him a few times, nice chap, wouldn't trust him to run the school tuck shop.
Thought you loved your country, TTT. Surely you wouldn't want this chaos to continue.
jDavis: "Thought you loved your country, TTT. Surely you wouldn't want this chaos to continue. " - I've offered no opinion here I seek only to enlighten the ignorant.
I stand by my earlier prediction about a GE.

Meanwhile, I’ll enlighten the ignorant…..PMSL

Besides the AB Bookie who won’t take my bet, what are the odds on a GE being called before Xmas(i.e. called but not implemented until the New Year)?
If Boris gets back in - no chance.
The house is almost totally trashed and the current tenants are doing their level best to finish the job to make life difficult for the next occupants.

They want to leave an unholy mess that will need to be fixed before any new stuff can be considered giving their cheerleaders in Fleet Street the opportunity to point and say 'what have they done for us since they got in'.

Pitiful really.
Rayner putting a very, very good case for a GE at present on BBC News.
With Truss’s departure today wasting her breath at the moment.
Fatticus. Can you not join the discussion without fishing around for something from long ago to have a go at another member, calling others ignorant and constantly wetting yourself?
You don't enlighten anyone. You do taint AB though.
Think you guys are wrong. Flawed though he may be, egocentric he might be, a sinner he certainly is. The only person who can possibly rescue the Tory Party is Johnson. Otherwise it's oblivion. So guess what's going to happen.
Er…..the person who posted prior to me said he is enlightening the ignorant.
I was just enlightening him about certain types of faux pas he’s made in the past, he does after all like to needle.
If that irks you…..hard luck! Lol
P.S. 3 months is not ‘long ago’, just so you’re aware.
The ghastly Raynor.
She's clearly of limited intelligence.
The leader of the Labour can't stand her.
Her 'partner' is in a bit of bother. Can't imagine why the Starmer hasn't ridden to his defence.
Why do you think that might be?
Ah, deflection, smoke and mirrors again.
Care to answer the questions about Johnson I asked earlier?
Let’s stay topical, it’s not really the Labour MP’s who are under scrutiny right now, is it?
IMO the Tories would be insane to hold a GE. One doesn't deliberately go to the country when they are least popular. They have no rational incentive to, and under no obligation to.

They need as much time as possible for Boris, er, I mean the next PM, to turn things around. Otherwise they risk letting Nigel in.
