Having seen that obnoxious horse racing chap on the TV last night, the fat one, with the side burns, pick his nose and eat it last night (I was eating my dinner at the time!), why on earth do we have bogeys? Why are they there, what are they made of, and as he obviously devours his with great tenacity, what will it do to him? Many children do it when they are young, although for some, you hope they get out of the habit. They must be there for a reason? ?

They are dirt and mucus that gathers in the nose over time because it is trapped by the nostril hairs to stop you breathing germs in.
Thats why you get black bogies when you visit London for the day :-) The more polution in the air the darker the bogey :-)
