morning, Sunday already and this week has flown by. I hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Do you have anything planned for today?

I am going to take a day to rest up as my leg is hurting quite a lot, so will undoubtedly watch the news. I went to the local church and sent electronically a message of condolence on the death of Queen Elizabeth, and sat for a while and pondered on how this week has seen such seismic change, with a New Monarch and new government. Quite extraordinary times we are living in.

I am still very sad about the Queen. I keep thinking about my nan as well, who is 96 in October. She keeps falling now and had a #NOF but she's as stubborn as an ox and refuses to accept help.
Bye Minty xx
I've been to London to watch the pageantry at times - on one occasion because my then boyfriend, a Grenadier guard, was taking part and I thought I might spot him under his bearskin. As if!! Haaa! Oh the folly of youth! ;o)

Gosh, just realised my nan has lived under five Monarchs:

King George V 1910 - 1936
King Edward VIII June 1936
King George VI 1936 - 1952
Queen Elizabeth II 1952 - 2022
King Charles III 2022 - present

Goodness knows how many PMs she's seen come and go in that time.
