If what the BBC reports is correct Truss is freezing energy bills for 18 months, which I think is damn good news for most of us.

AH: "Get the mines open, get fracking explored properly, and let's stop playing as if we are a major carbon emitter affecting the planet. " - Hope that is a serious suggestion. Yes even if we reduced to actual zero let alone net zero it would make zero difference to the world. Let's stop it with this green bow locks.
From said link.

/Scottish Power has said that freezing all bills at the current price cap of £1,971 for two years would cost nearly £100bn.
However, Dermot Nolan, former chief executive of energy regulator Ofgem, warned that this estimate could be "conservative", and also questioned how much it would benefit the most vulnerable.
"This kind of price freeze means that a multimillionaire will get exactly the same level of protection as everybody else," he told BBC Radio 4's Today programme./

So, she will be looking after the super rich as predicted.
I'm not bothered either way about fracking but we should definitely start building nuke power stations rapidly.
TORATORATORA, you're yet to explain how the energy companies would be absorbing the costs if the proposed price freeze.
TTT,
More Nuclear Power stations have not been built because of a policy against them. The stumbling block is the enormous cost. You want them extended rapidly, but you have not explained who pays for them.
/Soaring household energy bills are expected to be cut by energy companies using government-backed loans.
It is thought energy bills could be frozen at their current level for roughly 18 months under the plans.
Energy firms would use the loans to subsidise customer payments, with them repaid by additions to bills over 10 to 20 years or repaid via future taxation./

My guess is it’ll be the former under a Tory government, the latter under any other.
as long as all the nuke plants are along the south coast somewhere rather than in my back yard, I'd have no objection.
Will she freeze at the old price, or the inflated price we are now paying??

The latter.
So it’s still the 80% rise that has been implemented.
fracking is extremely unlikely to help... best estimates suggest the UK has enough shale gase to meet less than ten years of energy consumption... and such gas as there is is very deep and difficult to extract... even producing it at all will take years and the benefits short lived...

fracking companies insist that 50 year deposits are available but... they would say that wouldn't they!

If the govt had listened to Insulate Britain then UK energy demand would be significantly lower in the winter than it is now... they were absolutely right. Renewable energy sources are much cheaper and usually faster to produce too... nuclear power is probably our best bet long-term but it is slow and costly.
Truss (expected) energy plan is just as idiotic as furlough.
Great news for growers of cannabis though.

This will end in tears.
