Due to building works I have had to transplant a Hypericum (St John's Wort) shrub, and it is not doing well. I waited until it had finished flowering and it had berries on it, and watered it every day but the leaves have fallen off and the berries have shrivelled. Could someone advise what to do please? Do I dig it up and write it off, or can I cut it down and hope it will come back next year? Thanks.

I think the latter is the best option.
My one has suffered from sun scorch and drought this year, but I'm sure it will recover.
Keep up the watering
