Putin must be feeling rather troubled to say the least, that such a thing can happen right on his doorstep.
Yes and no. After Crimea they must have expected something (assuming is wasn't Putin getting rid of yet another). Thing is the first one is relatively easy, future no so much given the FSB will be on alert.

Still, lets be positive anything that rattles the evil git and his cronies has to be good.

A statement was released from a group calling itself the "National Resistance Army", dedicated to the overthrow of the Putin regime, and promised to target other Kremlin officials.

My bet would be this is a group within the FSB. If so, if I was Putin I would be concerned.

Putin was a small time gangster in Leningrad and KGB operative in E Germany, suspected of having helped the Red Brigades target western assets.
He was plucked out of obscurity in St Petersburg to head up the old KGB's revolution in a post-Yeltsin Russia, and has gone from a sort of reluctant puppet to a sort of puppet master.
From that link; 'He [Ponomarev ] added: “A momentous event took place near Moscow last night. This attack opens a new page in Russian resistance to Putinism. New – but not the last.”

That is the first time I've heard the word, "Putinism" I like that, it sounds redolent of words like, Stalinism, Leninism & Communism, things which are identifiable & can pass.
