the Russian journo may find himself in future nearer the front line than usual
Intelligence has come a long way.
We were always taught to use very snappy VP(voice procedure) because the Russian DF(direction finding) equipment was superior, or so we were told and any transmission longer than 8 seconds would result in our position receiving the dreaded FOT(feck orf tablet) missile.
The advent of social media and advancements in photojournalism now mean you need your wits about you in every facet of the battlefield.
Massive boost for the Ukrainians.

// PRO-Russia mercenaries in Ukraine were killed in a rocket strike — after a photo gave away the position of their HQ.

Wagner Group hardmen were wiped out after a Vladimir Putin propagandist posted a picture which included a street name. //
It's not the first time these morons (meaning anyone on the russian side) have given themselves away like that.
I like the way report says "The paramilitary group has been linked by western intelligence agencies to the Russian oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is a close associate of Vladimir Putin"
Prigozhin runs it, and it's effectively a wing of the russian military. Prigozhin was actually there a couple of days before, although there's been a picture of him since evidently, surveying the damage.

Scholz is holding out against a visa ban for Russians.
It is something many countries are calling for, and some have already done it.
If there was a way of stopping the holidaymakers but still allow those genuinely fleeing then I would be all in favour.

If those people in Simferopol are heading to Kerch, they will have to go via .. Dzhankoi, where one of the attacks was :-)
