Another Express headline:

“ Russia on brink of civil war as Chechen rebels prepare to topple key Putin ally”

Well, we can but hope, but the Express would not be my go-to choice for calm reporting on “civil wars” in Russia or in Labour
But you are the one making the accusation not me. So I’d expect you to have some idea of what you mean.
Otherwise it sounds like you are merely tossing around wild allegations
Er wrong thread!
//I hear lots of people calling for them to be renationalised - usually brexiters funnily enough.//

Not me. My experience has told me that with a very few exceptions, the government is not usually capable of running businesses or services. Anything that it does have a strong hand in is usually a shambles. Examples that spring to mind are health, education and social services. There's no reason to believe a nationalised energy supplier would have coped any better with the current crisis than the private ones do. In fact it is government meddling in energy policy which has caused much of the crisis anyway.
This from the man who wanted Corbyn as leader .... but needs must.

//BUT ..... you are not really suggesting Health is better run in AMerican are you//

No, I;m not suggesting that. I'm saying that governments are generally not very good at running it.

//or social services - highest number per capita in prison..//

That's because, like many countries, they have a lot of people who commit crimes but, unlike many countries, they find it best to lock them up.
