Whenever there's a battle for becoming PM from either parties, the main tool in the box always seems to be Tax cuts.
Unless I've missed it, I've not heard anyone yet mention the awful state the NHS is in at the moment. More importantly the number of people that must be suffering because they can't get treatment anytime soon.
So my priority would be the NHS.

The UK could reduce its carbon emissions to zero tomorrow and it would make absolutely no difference to the changing climate = noy a jot. And here’s why:

Those countries have absolutely no intention of reducing their carbon emissions. No intention whatsoever. China burns more coal than the rest of the world put together and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. They open a coal-fired power station about every 10-14 days.

The world will not destroy itself. Life will go on and accommodations will be made for the changing climate as and when it causes problems. The ridiculous “Net Zero” policy promoted by Mr Johnson (no doubt egged on by his ghastly wife) is leading to the impoverishment of millions of people in this country and is placing in jeopardy the viability of large sectors of the economy. It is one of the (very many) reasons why Tory voters are deserting the party in their droves. They voted Blue and got Green. Net Zero is unachievable (without some very imaginative bookkeeping), is utterly pointless and needs to be ditched forthwith.
Instead the new PM should concentrate on developing a proper energy policy which involves a mixture of gas, coal and nuclear (but no wood). He or she should embark on a complete reconstruction of the NHS which involves the abandonment of the GP service. Lastly the new PM should develop policies which enable the UK to exploit Brexit to the full and remove Northern Ireland from the EU’s Single Market and customs union.
That should do for the first week. Week 2 can concentrate on the remaining issues mentioned by Tora at 18:38.

Taxes pay for:-
Having properly tarmacked roads running all over the country, linking towns and cities; and those roads being marked out with white lines and there being regulation of which side of the road you drive. I'm not sure that such things could be achieved by asking private companies to tender for the right to earn a living from their provision.
Having armed forces to protect our population from foreign invaders. I'm not sure that private armies would fnd it easy to makea living from such provision.
Having health care available for all, free at the point of use.
Having people cleaning the streets, taking away and disposing of waste, maintaining highways and public open spaces.
Providing education for all children.
The list goes on.....
There are people who are wealthy enough to decide that they woydbe happy to pay for their own private roads (I don't know where they would go to), bodyguards, personal physicians, private tutors, and so on.
The list goes on.....
I personally prefer to be taxed rather than to be expected to pay for everything myself. We've moved on since the days of primitive hunter/gatherers, wandering tribes, warlords, Lords and serfs, The list goes on.....

Are you having a sarcastic laugh to yourself there,sandy.I cant remember the last time i saw a cop out pounding the beat and most of the police stations round about here are all closed.As for the NHS,i tried to make an emergency appointment and i was given an appointment in three weeks time,when i told the receptionist i might be dead by that time she looked at me and laughed.

How undemocratic is our system when we get no say in the candidates available to vote for? If you don't like politicians' principles, they have others. Some candidates are talking about increasing Defence spending - on equipment they don't bother using when it's needed! And how much was that track & trace app? £35 or so BILLION?!! Double what the Channel Tunnel cost! Would the NHS find £35 billion handy? Isn't it time to redesign the entire system?
