You can remove the flower heads now as they fade.
Pruning is done in April, only light pruning is required, just follow the natural contours of the plant, Lavender should never be pruned 'hard back' Good Luck Tbird+

cut it back when it's finished flowering but dont cut back into the old wood only into the green foliage. This will help stop it from going leggy. If you cut it to far back it wont recover
