Can ayone give me information about what happened, in Mansfield, Nottingham, last week.
Breifly saw in the Chad something about a light, could have been a meteor, that was seen going across the sky.
looked on the chad site, but cannot find anything.
Just curios as to what it was all about.

Didn't see the Chad that week but I'm guessing it was something called an iridium flare. Basically, as satellites goround the earth, at certain times on their orbit, the light from the sun reflects off ithe satellite (yes, i know it's dark!) and it's clearly visible to the naked eye and is often mistaken for meteors, shooting stars, UFOs etc.

A couple of months back the international space station could be seen every night at about 9.15pm for a week for the same reason

There's a website you can go to that tells you what time (to the second!) and where you can see iridium flares. They happen all the time. Last night in Bingham there were three in 15 minutes.
