I have been struggling for days to remove silicone sealant from the bottom of the shower. I have got a lot of it off but there is still a lot that refuses to budge. The shower is unusable in the meantime.
All help/tips/advice welcome. I am confused and overwhelmed by the different products availabile

Never needed to use it, but this stuff gets good reviews...

I second gingelbee's suggestion, I have used it and its brilliant.

What sort of tool did you use with it, woof? Also, anything special needed to clean down afterwards?
plastic scraper and white spirit does it
The screwfix stuff works well. I have used a fair bit of it.

With all these removers you do need to get as much off as possible first. Sharp chisel -a razor chisel is best (but do watch the shower tray).
The Screwfix stuff is great and I'd recommend the range of plastic tools from a company called Bojo (no relation).

They're made for damage-free panel removal in cars but the broad bladed one is an excellent non-scratch scraper.
barry I used plastic scrapers and old credit cards then cleaned it off with meths
I have found the best way is to get on hands and knees and scrape it off with a knife or razor blade knife.

That's what I've been doing, William, but there are bits that just ping back and will not shift. Blerdy awful stuff.

Thanks all - I have ordered two different Bojo scrapers, they are cheap enough, and the No Nonsense remover. Hope they don't arrive for a few days, I am sick to death of the job.

Just to let you know the No Nonsense and Bojo scrapers arrived yesterday.
Painted the No Nonsense on, left it for 45 minutes and the sealant came off quite easily with the scrapers. One small area needed a second treatment but all done now.
Thanks again, problem solved.
Very impressed with the Bojo scrapers, cheap but very strong.
