I believe Mr Iyegudu's complaint is based on him not being given appropriate clothing for the cold weather exercise.
The complaint alleges he developed a 'non-freezing injury' which left him more vulnerable to chilly temperatures in both his hands and feet, leading to him having to leave the Army.
The case probably rest on whether a) this is provable and b) whether it provable that that a duty of care was missed.
Regarding future recruitment of Africans...there are many serving officers of African heritage in the forces and each should be treated as an individual.
Same with any future applicants.

And if he was sent to war in a cold place? I bet he'd be moaning he wasnt trained in 'making do' and getting on with it.
