if you ran for 5 minutes, 3 times a day....

If you ran for 5 minutes, 3 times a day. Would you lose less calories than if you went for one 15 minute run a day. And how many calories could you expect to lose for both ^ types of runs.

see the above table for calories burnt whilst running (or google for a better one)... i think it is fairly obvious that if you run for 5 minutes every day you will use less calories than if you run for 15 minutes per day - or am i missing the point??

i said 5 minutyes, 3 times a day which would be fifteen minutes. But thankyou for the link :D.
I'd say running three times a day would burn more calories. When you've exercised your metabolic rate stays up for quite a while after. So exercising three times a day would keep it up for longer. Probably!
ooops sorry - not reading properly... you would lose the same amount of calories in each situation, though the gains you would make on your heart lungs and cardiovascular system would not be as good as if you were doing the 5 minute runs rather than the 15 minute one...

the whole 15mins option is better as it takes a certain amount of time to get ''into the zone'' where you areobic exercise is at its peak
